Nice work Harold! Hey I don't thibk it's on the Bakersfield album, but has anyone attempted "a world without Haggard" yet? Beautiful tune and I love Paul's playing on it, as always.

I may have missed it, but had anyone tabbed "I can't be myself when I'm with you"? Love that song.....love the whole album!

It was on a Chinese site. The cut is: HE DONT DESERVE YOU ANYMORE. I just tried it and it works for me. Maybe it is blocked in the USA. I have this same cut in my BAKERSFIELD CD

Jim, buy the BAKERSFIELD. CD Vince Gill and Paul Franklin. Great CD. I bought two, one for, myself and one for my 91 year old uncle. We both love it

I'm in Beijing so that could be why it comes up here. Anybody in Europe or Australia, etc. able to access this?

Jim, what comes up when you click on the link?

This is an old topic I realize, but this album is timeless. The intro and solo for "high on a hilltop" is one I'm curious if anyone has been able to figure out as well. If anyone has and could share, I'd be much obliged! Smile

I'm not a guy who can write tab qell. But since my last request I sat down and really tried to dissect the intro to high on a hilltop and I'm pretty dang close. Bow the solo at the end, totally different story! Lol

Now's your chance to check your TABs!

Modern Music Masters is excited to announce the launch of Paul Franklin's new West Coast Country* course!

Paul goes in-depth on 12 selected tracks from the "Bakersfield" tribute album that he recorded with Vince Gill. These songs contain all of the essential components needed to play the style authentically:

- Pedal Snaps, Trills, And Squeezes
- Right Hand Picking Dynamics
- Controlled Bar Moves
- Expressive Vibrato and Slides
- Stylistic nuances that breath life and emotion into the phrases

Packed with Intros, Solos and Licks, West Coast Country is an up-to-date, definitive study of the style.

All songs have custom backing tracks to play along with once you master the phrases.

If you've been wanting to put some West Coast Country into your own style, this is the Course to get!

I purchased this course earlier today and I couldn't be more pleased. We all know what a hit the Bakersfield album was and now, we can learn how Paul played 12 of these songs from the man himself. Not only that, but Paul arma you with the tools necessary to play this style which is is near the hearts of many of us.
I couldn't reccomend this course any more highly! The fantastic work students of Pauls method have come to know and love continues in West Coast Pedal Steel.
