Dug through my archives again and listened to Buddy Emmons & Ray Pennington Swing Sessions on 8 track Cassettes. (Yes, I still have a cassette player) For any of you "Newbies" if you've not heard them try to find copies. It'll make your day and appreciate how music and good musicians sound without using every electronic device known to mankind. I believe they made seven recordings.

Right you are Len - that's some great music. Best to check with Jim Palenscar first but it looks like he's got the CD's for Buddy and Ray's Swingin' Series available on his website at Steel Guitars of North County. There are also tab and rhythm tracks available for this series on the site.

I was honored that Buddy invited me to go to one Of The Swing Shift sessions. I believe it was for the "We're Steel Swingin' " record.
I know it was such a treat for Buddy to work with such a good horn section.
Kevin McManus was at the mixing board.
