Anyone know where I can purchase an adapter and/or guitar cable for a
Vintage lap steel with an amphenol connector like the one in the photo below?

I'm sure if you offered the ones you don't want on the forum or back on EvilBay you'd get rid of them.

RockinRonsMusic carries the individual adapters as well as a 20' cable with screw on connector on one end and 1/4" guitar plug on the other. Expensive but very well made.

A lot of the old microphones that harmonica players like have those screw on connectors.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Is there some consensus on whether there are any differences in the sound quality of the screw on connectors versus a standard 1/4" jack?

Two problems with the screw on jack... the connection works loose, and the solder dot in the center wears down.

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus!

rob: i have an extra adapter. i use one on a vintage mic and it works fine. if you would like it, send me your address and you can try it out. if it works for you, ok, if not, mail it back.

as far as the solder dot, you may be able to add to it. just don't detract from it.

play music!
