There are so many for me. Not just instrumentals, but I play songs by one of my favorite female country artists, Danni Leigh. There's quite a few of her songs I love to play, an example is a song that John Hartford wrote that Danni had put on her second record, "A Shot Of Whisky & A Prayer" called "Back In Your Arms Again", its melody, steel parts, and Danni's vocals are awesome! On TruCountry on RFD-TV, Danni sang a song called "The Right One", which featured Jim Loessberg on steel, and I just started playing it recently, so it's another favorite |

My favorite tunes that I play are: The 12th of never, which is also my wife's favorite, Blue Jade, The way we were, Broken down in tiny pieces, A way to survive, How great thou art, Precious memories and look at us. As far as my favorites by other players, they are too many to mention. I like them all, including all you guys on the forum. _________________ GFI Expo SD10, Nashville 112, Steelers choice Pak-a- seat, Carter vol. pedal, Stage one vol. pedal, Peavey Deltafex. Well, could list a million tunes, but you specifically asked favorites to play. I've only been at this 4 months so I can't play much...but my favs are Look at Us.Sweet Memories, Together Again, Danny Boy. Also, a slew of gospel tunes; Old zrugged Cross, sweet hour of prayer, consider the lillies. _________________ 1981 Emmons P/P, P2P Bad Dawg 1x12, Benado Steel Dream, Goodrich L120 volume pedal & BJS bar |

Funny, but I didn't have to think about it at all. Julian Thorpe playing "On A Clear Day" on his "Jet Age" album. Number two would be the Buddy Emmons song off of his "Black Album", Blue Jade. I have to add that I don't play either of these songs. Perhaps I'll give them a whirl someday. |
