I am at the point of almost being ready for finish on my lap steel. I bought Birchwood Casey sanding sealer with the intent of using it before I put on the Birchwood Casey Tru oil. The maple I have has very tight grain. My question to you veteran builders is... should I use the sealer or skip it and go straight to the Tru oil?

Thanks in advance Very Happy

Sanding sealer should be used before a lacquer finish.
I have no idea about the oil.
If it's a nice steel it's worth a good lacquer finish.
That my 2¢ worth,... what you paid for the advise. Very Happy
