Steelin Techniques session today 07/29/2017---
Jam pack full of some pretty awesome stuff. I could use some advise from some of the forum's PS folks. This week's song, Pop-A-Top--on the short "run-up" from the third, sixth and tenth freight------how do the rest of you guys block those strings? I've tried the back of my hand, the flat part of my pinky finger and pick blocking. Sounds terrible for me! Any suggestions? |

Before William's Saturday Technique Sessions, the wife would walk into my music room while I'm practicing and would either slam the door shut or turn my amp OFF (not down but off) and sometimes she did both--Saturday she asked me (first time ever) what the name of the song I was playing. I almost fell over. I lied to her! I made up a song name. What I was playing was NOT a song. It was one of the "technique exercises" I kept playing over and over. Progress-take it any way I can get it! |
