I am making and selling a new type of amp stand called the Mud Stand. It is perfect for the Nashville 112 used by so many steel players. Gets your amp up off the floor. It holds your amp at the perfect angle. Weighs less than 3 lbs.
The Mud Stand only has three components. These three components lock together in seconds when you are setting up, but the magic happens when you are tearing down. The Mud Stand has embedded magnets so when you pull the three pieces apart, they almost jump together in a tight block that you can carry with one finger.
Because the Mud Stand has no metal parts, it will not scratch up the interior of your car like metal, folding amp stands. Likewise, it will not scratch up your amp or your steel guitar case. You can literally just throw it in your car with no chance of damage to your gear or the amp stand itself.
The Mud Stand sells for 59.00. I will make a donation to the forum for every Mud Stand sold on here. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about this new concept in amp stands.
Thanks,
Kermit

What are the dimensions of the Mud Stand when it's deployed? And how tough are the panels? Are they rubber coated or anything to help them from being easily chipped? _________________ Just another belt & suspenders guy... |

Nick,
The panels are not rubber coated, but they are pretty tough. Not indestructible, but they are really not prone to chipping. Our prototypes were gigged with weekly, for two years, and other than getting dirty from stages, they showed no wear and tear. You can clean the Mud Stand with Windex or just soap and water.
Thanks,

Hey Kermit, is there any weight rating on this thing? Or is it pretty much any amp that you can get to fit on it? (I was thinking about a Peavey Session 400, Nashville 400, or a Hernia 500?)
Thank you for your response. Roger |

Roger,
Thank you for your inquiry. In order to keep the Mud Stand at a reasonable size, we did not design it to hold the bigger amps. The biggest amp the Mud Stand will hold is a Fender Twin Reverb. Which is about 69 lbs and 20 inches tall. I think the three amps you asked about are heavier and probably taller than a Twin.
We can custom make you a larger version of the Mud Stand, for the larger amps, but it would be more expensive. If this is something you are interested in, I would be happy to work up a price for you.

Also....for the forum members who also play guitar...the Mud Stand is used by many guitar players to hold amps as small as a Princeton and as large as a Twin Reverb. It also holds a Peavey Special 130 great.

Very nice.
What's the distance between the inside of the vertical supports?
Just trying to eyeball and use the other dimensions you provide, I'd be guessing at 16-18"? _________________ Four Pettingills and a Clinesmith Aluminum. Fender Blues Junior. Quilter Mini-101. |

Got mine Mud Stand today. Very fast international shipping.
It is a great stand and very very light weight ... can transport it with 2 fingers and the PV 1000 and the 112 is very safe on it. Great job. Thank you! |
