very rare MELOBAR LS-8 lap steel

Ultra rare 1992 or 93 Melobar LS-8
8 string lap steel
According to the website 'a few' were produced
I was going to call it Dead MINT condition, as if it just left the Smith shop (25 years ago) ! (then I found, while taking pix, a dent almost the size of a pencil eraser).
Incredible tone and sustain !

Because Melobar guitars were all handmade there are subsequently few. Probably around 1,000. And that's spread around many, many models and prototypes. Not only are they unique, but rare as well.
Many well-known steel players have a Melobar in their collection. Players such as David Lindley, Rusty Young, and my favorite steel player, Cindy Cashdollar all own a Melobar.
