I sent that Harry Connick Jr. video to producer/engineer Stephen Barncard (Dead, CSNY and others)
He wrote back and said that he'd seen it, and:
"On Another Stoney Evening [A Crosby Nash record he produced], on the encore, they do the dreaded 'Teach Your Children' and people started clapping out of time ( big hall, Dorothy Chandler LA). David and Graham just STOPPED and had a discussion that ended up with Crosby saying in his rosanna dana voice "you can clap.. but you must clap IN TIME"".

As someone who's first instrument is bass and sometimes sits in on drums this is a condition that 100% should sound like an STD. Nothing drives me crazier.
