Check Bob Hoffnar's site. Besides a pdf tab, there is also an MP3 file so you can hear it.

Versions I, II & III are in the book "Pedal Steel Guitar" by Winnie Winston. Most everyone has the book or should. Not a bad place to start...

Anthology of Pedal Steel Guitar for E9th by Dewitt Scott has the Buddy Emmons version of Danny Boy (Londonderry Aire)......along with Bars of Steel by Lloyd Green, and tabs by others like Doug Jernigan, Paul Franklin, etc. You will like it.

Buddy's tab is just like his recording.

This was about the quickest I ever learned a tune with tab.
Very easy and right away I found lots of way to embellish and improve the way to play it...
2 pedals and two strings, can't make it any more simple than that!
Thanks to Bob Hoffnar for the tab.

The bill Keith winnie winston boik has , I think, 2 or 3 versions. One out of C and I think 2 out of G. Comes with an audio CD as well. Great book!

I'm working on that first one in C now. Good thing I have the audio because there are a few mistakes in the tab. I wonder if there is an updated edition of the book with corrections.

I took the 2 versions in G and made my own (as the book suggests). I can't ever get it to sound exactly like the audio disc anyway...every guy has his own style. As much as I'd love yo be a clone of some of the greats, I'm always gonna be me. I'll try to imitate, but alas, I'm just me. Smile

Winnie's arrangement of Londonderry #1 is full of creative license and it is very interesting and fun to play. It would have been easier to follow if the tab was more accurate. Hopefully the other two versions in the book are a little more true to what is actually being played on the recording.
