That's not a guitar.
It's a front door with pickups..... Whoa!

Erv, you'll find your answer at 1:26.

BTW, I like how he used the extra fabric from his shirt to surround the pickups. Why didn't I ever think of that...? Wink

That was absolutely awful in every way imaginable. As cheesy as it gets! And he probably thinks he's really good...

Cheesy, yes, but I find it oddly compelling.

Sorry, didn't make it that far....

What exactly does it compell you to do, David?

David and so do I, I actually like it and the steel guitar is different but it serves it's purpose, it is no more offensive than all this surf board crap I see,
he seems to get a lovely earthy sound and the backing track is what it needs, my view of course, like it or not.

Colin.

Whoa!
Why are there so many SGF members always downgrading and making negative comments on some other players. Are you the #1 Master of the steel guitar? Not.

Agreed. Certainly prevents me from posting any videos of my playing.

Well, he's playing the right stuff and it's a nice arrangement, but he needs to work on his intonation. He's slightly flat or sharp (off fret) most of the time. He needs to concentrate on playing in tune with the track, but in general I like his style.

If he played an entire song on the front neck he might have to make an appointment afterward with the chiropractor.

And there's a response worth reading. Honest, neither dismissive nor condescending.
