Got the Midnight in Montgomery tab on the forumn and the 3rd note has an Ω sign on it. I dont know what it means, but i had to play an additional note to make it sound close. Not trying to take up space in this section, ive searched everywhere trying to figure it out first. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Can you post the link where you got the tab Jeremiah so we can take a look at it?

Google is your friend!

Tab is in the 6th post down here:

Perhaps you could PM Ben Godard. His last post was on 5/2/17 so he's still around!

Whoa...haven't seen that symbol before in a steel tab - the symbol almost looks like you should put headphones on when playing those notes Smile

Isn't that the symbol omega, simply meaning the end or last?

I would suspect those symbols came from a conversion to a format for the forum.

I'm having trouble supporting this idea but...could it be the only way within the format to write (or a conversion error from) a tie mark denoting sustain or legato?

The writer of the tab responded to me and told me the meant to sustain the note. I've learned the tab he wrote and it sounds good now that I've gotten better at it. SOrry for the long delay in my response.
