I recently bought a Peavey Basic 60 Bass Combo as a back up,for my main amp,I took it to a gig just to give it a try,and was very surprised just how good this little amp sounded,on steel and lead guitar is was very loud with loads of head room,Has anyone else tried one of these amps? |

The lead guitar player in my band swears by a basic 50 peavey he has, guessing close to the same as the basic 60 you've got. And you're right, he has a ton of headroom. I've never tried it for steel though. _________________ Sho Bud Steel Guitars

I picked up a 'Basic 85" at the local Guitar Center for a paltry $50.00 for use as a backup. Built a cabinet for the head only and donated the factory cab and Scorpion speaker to a friend. Sounds surprisingly good paired with either my 12" or 15" cabinets, (both loaded with Eminence 'EPS' series speakers). |
