Although Harry James had a big band hit with "Sleepy Lagoon," I always remember Sneaky Pete's version from the l970s. I also enjoyed Doug Beaumier's non-pedal arrangement that he posted a few years ago. I'm using my tenor sax and MSA Classic pedal steel for my version of the tune

Hi Chuck,
I really enjoyed your rendition of "Sleepy Lagoon". The combination of Steel & Sax is really nice.
Keep the tunes coming.

Sounds good, Chuck. I too remember Sneaky Pete's version on his solo album. A great tune! |
That Sleepy Lagoon was my favorite on his album too, But listening to your youtube of it is what got me here in a search.
Your version is also very nice, and By By Blues is amazing.
