New Zealand-based luthier Laurie Williams has made a name for himself in the alternative tonewood world when he incorporated the gorgeous Kauri tree into his building practice. Striking a balance between the woody tone of Mahogany and the darker overtones of Rosewood, Kauri makes for a well-balanced and expressive voice. Right now we have two Williams guitars, each with Kauri and each with a profoundly easy play feel.
