Yes, it could very likely be Bobby Nichols, Lani's somewhat-later steel-player; no personnel are listed on the RCA session-sheets, other than Lani McIntire; others have hypothesized Dick McInitre (before he went his own way), Sam Koki, and others. One of those little mysteries associated with Jimmie Rodgers.
