I recently got a 1930 Squareneck Tricone with the name Ellen Goodart engraved on the neck. Does that name ring a bell with anyone?

When you say "engraved", do you mean a factory job or scratched in by the owner? I probably can't help with the name either way, but I'm always interested in customized Nationals.
