Thinking about buying another Sho Bud Super Pro. Has Day pedal setup. Is this much of a job to switch back to Emmons??

You should try to find someone who has a set-up chart for a Super Pro Emmons setup Kevin. That will indicate where on the bell crank and which hole in the changer a particular rod should be initially placed. These may need some minor adjustments afterwards but should be pretty close to final locations. It's not hard but takes time to remove rods, move bell cranks, and rerod it.

On a Super Pro, that should take every second of a half hour...

Put your other guitar next to it, make the new one look like the other.

It's an easy task but before you start take a bunch of photo's for all the A and C Pedal positions, pullers and changer end, as well as the two E levers.

OR just make a chart of where the rods are located on the pullers as well as the changer end.

Don't start without doing that first.

Another thing to look at, these are large body Steels, look for extra screw holes in the body near the knee lever mounts, many times when going from Emmons to Day or Day to Emmons, someone moves the knee levers for a better fit. The SP's came standard with both E levers on the left leg.

Just be aware.

Overall, it's about a 2 hour ordeal including writing a chart and taking pictures. The Super Pro is a great system, very easy to make changes like this.

good luck !

Like the rest are saying take your time and take notes. The rod changes should be easy. Whether Day or Emmons the puller holes and changer holes will be the same. Example: If the 4th string lowers with the rod in the third hole down on the puller and the bottom hole of the changer it will be that way no matter what. What you might have to adjust will be your stops if the previous change on a knee or pedal had a different distance to travel. In that case go thinnest to thickest setting up the travel and the stop.
