Their amps have a good reputation. They've provided a decent alternative to the stupid money that was being spent on original "Jimmy Page" Supro Thunderbolt Amps. PCB mounted tube sockets though, which I'm not crazy about.
I'm not in the market for the lap steel since I have an original MOTS Airliner but I'm stealing every lick I can from the videos they had that Gary Morse fella do for them:

Excellent info, Michael. Thanks for sharing. I love the history of Supro and Valco stuff. Actually the guy I talked to was from Germany as I recall. He may have faded out of the scene the scene before he got funding. I couldn't find my old contact info for him. _________________ Excel D10 8&4, Supro 8, Regal resonator, Peavey Powerslide, homemade lap 12(a work in progress) |

Michael,
Thanks for those great catalog pics. For once I don't have to content myself with drooling over a vintage catalog cuz I've got the real thing!

Me too. But no really cute amp like that and no pickup cover. Nice, Bill!

Thanks for the catalog cuts, Michael. Very nostalgic. _________________ Excel D10 8&4, Supro 8, Regal resonator, Peavey Powerslide, homemade lap 12(a work in progress) |

I wonder if the demand has actually gone down, or if Ebay sellers just finally got the message that people are not going to pay inflated prices just because they put "vintage" in the description. I think the prices are adjusting themselves closer to the realistic values. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6.
