I am waiting on 1" nylon tuners and 4 pedal return "torque" springs from Michael Yal....they are presently out of stock. Then she can be "rodded up" and takin' for the first test drive. She is strung up and I have played her with out the pedals, has that great Sho-Bud tone and frets up true.
The neck decals on these photos are just sitting there as they are just printed on paper. I am have "Auto Artists" here in Albert Lea make the decals for me so it will be a good job. This baby is coming in right around $3500 to live again.....and she's worth "every single penny to me"!!!!

Neil,

Great job on this guitar. She's a real beauty! Thanks for bringing this old girl back to life.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Yes...A kid waiting for Christmas is an understatement!!!! Sho~Buds have been my "Weakness" since 1965. Two people were mainly responsible for this. My wife's uncle Chester Dahl who was a die hard Classic Country music fan and "Loved" Steel Guitar. And a steel player by the name of Darwin Schrage 'Lefty" from West Union Iowa. I saw him and met him playing a "Bud" way back then, and I never got over it! Smile
I am attaching a list of parts and costs of this project just in case anyone out there is thinking of trying it, they will have an idea what they are in for. And yes.....they are Mullen pulls, but I liked them and thought they were "worthy" of this position! Winking
