Hey kids,

I had a used bar recently sold to me as a BJS 7/8 bar. Well, it's definitely not 7/8, so I want to check to be 100% sure it actually IS a BJS bar (the logo is different). I'm guessing it's a 15/16th" bar.

In this pic is a Dunlop 920 bar, bought new (7/8")......the new "BJS 7/8" bar in the center......and a 1" BJS bar I've had for a while.

Thoughts?

Jim your middle bar is a BJS from the original Bill Stroud era. The one on the right is a current bar made by new owner Butch Gardner.

IMHO, both are excellent, but the Gardner bars are slightly smoother and better quality. Butch puts his all into making a top quality tone bar.

Yes, that looks like a BJS to me.

Thanks, guys!

And yes, John......the 1" bar does feel ever so slightly smoother, which is another reason I asked. I like the middle one, too, but really wanted a 7/8" to replace the Dunlop.
