I have a new Williams S12 extended E9 coming in a few weeks and I needed to sell one of my SD10s to help pay for it. I had a GFI Ultra that I sold to a 39 year old women who wanted to learn pedal steel.

She has a music background with regular guitar and has played and sang regularly in church. I tried to make it clear what she was getting into, but she was undaunted. It's been a few weeks and she has contacted me a couple times with questions, and it's clear she is having fun with it, though there is a fair amount of frustration (as would be expected).

I think it's pretty cool that a woman under 40 is interested in learning PS, and imagine that doesn't happen very often. Then I started wondering the ratio of women to men players (I searched the forum but couldn't find anything). Anyone have a wild-ass (or otherwise) guess? Does the forum registry track that?
