Thanks MIKE... I have a treat for someone. When I made these Knee levers, about 23 years ago, I forgot that I had made 2. All of it, the whole setup.

I'm gonna put one on the Forum For Sale.

What I've noticed, is some folks are extremely picky about pedal height and travel...B maybe slightly lower than A and C on the E9 guitar for example.
The knees on my Mullen have to be just the right distance apart for me...not too much play. When you sit down at someone else's instrument, suddenly you realize what's right or wrong for you. Also, didn't realize how much shoes made a difference...especially with LKV...

I won't be buying a new one, but if I was -

Two pickups, both with much lower DC resistance than is common (roughly in the 9-11k ohms range maximum) and with a rounder, thicker tone - with a 3-way selector switch (neck, both, bridge).

A passive volume and tone control and 3-way switch (if 2 pickups can't be installed), preferably in reach of the right hand and wired like a single-pickup 6-string guitar.

The simple guitar-mounted volume control like on a 6-string operates and sounds quite different from a floor pedal; the tone control provides totally different sounds from amp controls, is reachable immediately for quick adjustments, and works interactively with the volume control.

I've never understood why the volume and tone controls were phased out on some brands and never included at all on others. I've used a box with them mounted on the output jack on guitars where there was no way to mount them on top.

The 3-way "tone" switch like that on a Fender Esquire can be used to provide 2 preset sounds (one a tone bypass) and one fully controllable position. this is something that was, as far as I know, never mounted on a pedal steel.

To me the Mechanical set up of the guitar is a necessary thing. Pedals, knee levers, Copendent and such. All I have added to my old MSA S10 and my GFI S12 Uniey, is pads to both using industrial strength VelCro. Did not drill any holes in the guitars. Keep it original, If you may want to trade or sell it in the future.

I had Frank Carter place the neck selector switch between the necks on my Infinity. I also use a plug-in and bypass-able tone control that I received from Stu Schulman, discussed elsewhere on another thread.
