Update: I now have a practice track (and tab and audio) for this song on my blog ---> http://playsteelguitar.com/akaka-falls-c6-lap-steel-guitar/
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just posted tablature and audio for the Hawaiian tune "Akaka Falls" on my blog. C6 lap steel. Check it out --click and scroll to the bottom of the page --> http://playsteelguitar.com/2016/01

I have a few songs -tab- stored in my computer that I was going to include in books, but for whatever reason I decided not to use them. I'll be posting some of them on my blog in the future so check my site occasionally. Happy New Year! Have a great 2016!

Very nice and expertly played. Love the tone you get from that Gibson Century 6.

Thanks for the tab. Going to learn that one.

Great old tune, Doug, and very nostalgic for me because I remember Ralph Kolsiana playing that song for me on his Ric frypan - the 4th production frypan they made. So many of the steel pioneers are gone now. It was a privilege to get to speak with a few of them. Thanks for keeping this old Hawaiian tune in the spotlight.

As always, a really fine performance.........
Enjoyed it immensely.

I'm an old player and can't hardly play any more but I couldn't help but be distracted by some kind of unknown electronic device being used on your recording.

It was obviously 'too much' of whatever it was. That's what I hear from where I'm sitting.

Please do NOT think for even a nano second that I'm picking apart your fine work. I'm NOT!

That's some internet problem Ray. I just listen and that sound wasn't there before. But notice on a CD I got today and thought that was my sound card or something in the computer. Great playing and tone Doug as always.

Check it again Ray. It's playing fine without the sound from before.

The "too much" might be too much delay used. Excessive delay makes it sound like you're playing in a huge cavern. That's the effect I was going for, but I might have overdone it in the mix. Also the low part is a little louder than the other parts, so maybe that's a little distracting. Anyway, I didn't include this song in my song books because for I wasn't too happy with it when it was completed. It is what it is, and hopefully folks will enjoy playing the tablature and will be inspired to forge ahead. Winking
