I have been working closely with Eminence on this rare earth magnet speaker. It is very similar to the amazing EM12 but with a light neo magnet. The speaker is 8ohms, and can handle 250W. There are no cooling fins, and the frame is not oversized. Therefore, this great sounding clean speaker will fit into any amplifier Milkman, Peavey, Fender or otherwise.

Weight is just under 7lbs

Price $179

This will be the stock speaker in all of my high power steel guitar amplifiers from now on, and I will add it to the accessories page on my website once it becomes available next week. This speaker is not available through Eminence or dealers - its exclusive to Milkman.

Tim, can you please (if possible) describe what it sounds like? What about this speaker is different from a Telonics 12, EPS12 or a TT-12?

The speaker is very open and natural sounding. People always throw the word JBL around on here when describing steel guitar speakers, but in my experience none of the aforementioned speakers sound anything like a D120, K120 or D130.

Mine does not either - it is much closer in sound to the Eminence EM12, off which it is based.

I believe the TT and new PF speakers are based around a Black Widow. Mine is different than that too - the midrange is much less focused on mine. Think wide open, slightly scooped mids with big bottom and silky top end. It is designed to compliment Milkman amplifiers, which have that same wide open full bandwidth sound.

The Milkman speaker is very sensitive, and has a lot of fidelity across a wide frequency range.

I was not planning on selling them individually, however as soon as I posted about it on Facebook there were people looking to buy them, so I decided to throw my hat in the ring here on the forum. One more 12" speaker option for steel players, and it also sounds great with standard guitar and my Asher lap steel.

The other difference with my Milkman speaker, besides the sound, is the speaker frame and magnet structure. For anyone who has tried and failed to mount an oversize Eminence neo speaker into a Fender amp - that is not going to happen with my speaker. The frame is the same size as a speaker with a much smaller magnet.

yes of course it sounds great with guitar! Milkman amps are used by some of the best guitar and steel guitar players in the world. My speaker, like my amps, is designed to be versatile enough to do just about anything you want with Very Happy
