I took a request by one of our dealers to check out the 1.6lb. Elf amplifier(200 watt) with the Trace 208 cabinet. I tried it at home but will try it at a gig soon, but I was impressed with how something this small could produce sound that was big.

A new day is here(for us older folk). Check them out here;

Mike, all those Trace Elliot products look great. The Transit A looks really nice for acoustic stuff too.

They are great products that I think that the time has come for downsizing.
The ELF weighs 1.6lbs and produces 200 watts. Can't beat that!

From their website, Elf specs say power is limited to 130 watts into 8 ohms, which is what the 2X8 speakers are.

I assume Trace Elliot is part of the Peavey family.

TE has been a part of Peavey for quite some time.

Go to www.peavey.com and select divisions to see all the other brands under their umbrella.

What is the unit of measurement for "speaker sensitivity"?

Mike, the Tace Elliot products look great, and I am sure they sound great. I think the bass amp would work great for steel.

The SPL is normally not available on instrument amplifiers.

Not available? Huh? It is a specification provided by most every speaker manufacturer, regardless of whether the speaker is used for instruments or reproduction. Eminence, for instance, provide a complete datasheet including sensitivity and all other Thiele-Small parameters. Is it a secret for Trace Elliot for some reason?
