What type of fingerpicks (not thumbpicks) do you favor for Dobro?

Do you use the same picks on your Dobro as on your other instruments -- lap steel, pedal steel, or whatever (if applicable).

I use the same picks for Dobro, lap steel, and banjo. National NP-2 fingerpicks and a Pro-Pik thumbpick, metal with a Delrin blade.

Pretty much, but would sometimes use heavier ones on the acoustic steels.

I use the National NP2's on both Pedal Steel and Dobro.
I use the same Herco nylon thumb pick, too.

No brainer. Same finger picks for all of these instruments. JF's. Lap, slide, pedals and reso. I should have enough sets stored to last my lifetime.

I use Metal National Style Finger-picks and Dunlop Plastic Thumb-picks or Dunlop Metal Thumb-picks. It seems the Plastic Thumb-picks have a perverse habit of breaking right on the curve at the start of the set. I have never had that problem with the Metal ones, so in the interest of Security and Mental Health I switch between the two. I use the same picks (lots of different sets) for all instruments: Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Acoustic and Electric Lap Guitars and Autoharps. I also do a lot of Six and Twelve String playing with a Flat-pick, Dunlop .73 mm Medium Gray.

HTH. PS: Are you writing a Book? Cool

I use Pro Pik finger picks, the ones that have a "1" on them. From the looks of this website it seems they are calling them "Vintage Style Finger Picks". I use National NP2's on Pedal Steel and Lap Steel and Banjo, but I pick harder on Dobro and the Nationals aren't as comfortable as the Pro Piks. For some reason, I have never liked Dunlops, although I know a lot of great players use them. Here's the website where I buy the Pro Piks at. https://www.guptillmusic.com/propik-vintage-style-finger-picks/
