Thinking about doing a different instrumental for steel guitar. George Strait tunes always have a great melody. Old swing tune, "Am I blue" I think fits the bill.
Once Lloyd Green said, "If you take a tune and remove the singer, if the melody stands on its own, it's a good instrumental for steel". Anyway, here's the start of an idea.

That's some really great tone there Ron. Fabulous tune from the 20's, I think. Everybody from Billie Holiday to Willie Nelson covered it. You know it's a keeper when it keeps getting bumped up again and again over the decades. Nice choice, sounds good on steel. |

Thx Guys.
Doug, I use to play that tune when I worked for Billy Walker and it was always fun. It stuck in my head. Among other George Strait tunes.

I went a step further and created a track with BIB. Much more fun to play that way. If someone would like the track for a good practice aid, I'll be glad to post it.
