Hello all
I got my steel with long legs and pedal rods and i took it to a place to cut it down for 15CM. it was too much.
i cant play now at all and im living in Israel, where that kind of gear cannot be obtained anywhere.

maybe someone is selling and can recommend me a solid place to buy 8 rods and 4 legs? Smile
Thanks Sad

Let's start with what kind of guitar you are working with? What is the desired measurements?

Hey Ben, I would send an email to GFI and tell them your particular model and what you need. Here's their website: http://www.gfimusicalproducts.com/index.html
Note under "FAQ's" one of the questions concerns adjusting the height of the guitar and they mention they have leg/pedal rods available for longer, shorter, and standard.

Shalom Ben,
Look up Red Barn here on the forum.
They sell real nice very light weight aluminum legs and will cut them to your size.
Look just like the heavy steel chromed legs.
Not sure about the cost for shipping to Israel?

Can't get PSG stuff in Israel? That settles it, I ain't moving there.
Just stay in Saigon and go to Chabbad on Friday nights if I'm not playing....
Best wishes,
Andy

I'll second GFI - they made custom legs and rods for my Ultra very quickly...and if you just want stock ones that should be no problem.

But can't you find some kind of machine shop locally? that should be able to use the connecting parts off your existing legs - legs are not unusual, custom made "gadgets", they're stock tubing with whatever type of standard thread insert the maker decides to use. And the rods are just stock void material cut, bent and threaded.

Again, just take your existing parts in, tell them the length and it should be fairly simple. I've had legs and rods made locally, usually in a couple of days.

The problem with using a machine shop in Israel is they are using metric stock.
That may or may not work for the US fittings... I'd put my bet on it not working.

The legs can be easily made or difficult, depends on your legs & the way they were made, solid or adjustable. Please post a picture.....

Just be aware that GFI legs have a different thread size than the standard size used by other builders.

You could always cut the same amount off the legs on your steel seat Laughing
