What's the most common E9th set up with 3 pedals an 4 knees you would use if you could not rearrange your copedent? |

There is nothing better then the original Emmons set up.... Buddy wrote the book and showed us how it's done long before 10 pedals, 10 knee levers, splits wrist levers etc...
Look at the copedents listed here on the forum you'll see the repetition with the changes... _________________ Gordy Rex

A B C, lower both E's, raise both E's, raise 2 a half 1, 7 a whole, with a halfstop, lower 2 a whole & 9 a half. |

I was thinging Loyd Greens set up would be a good choice. Sometimes less is more. |

Lloyd Green's is hard to beat for its economy.
I'm unclear whether your copedent can be changed. What do you have currently? |

Charlie I'm thinking of building a few pedal steels with permanent copedant, 3 an four pull release. I've had a little success with building all pull steels but used Emmons changers I got from Ron. The Emmons changer gave me some of the Emmons sound, so I guess that's one piece of the sound puzzle. Also used old hard rock maple ,half inch thick cabinet top an aprons. Thanks for questions. |

I'd lower 2 and 9 to C#, with a half-stop at D.
And raise 1 to G and lower 6 to F#. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |
