Very very nice MSA S10 Classic XL.. 3&4- Trans red lacquer.. Shines like new all the way around including the aluminum and chrome. Looks incredible under the stage lights! Used it at some shows this summer, and everyone LOVED it. Its just getting heavy for me as I age, and my back gets worse.. Went to a tiny little ETS S10..
Has lots of very small bar dings if you look at an angle, but they are very small circular indentations, NOT nicks in the finish. You have to look for them to see them... Has an Emmons pickup in it and it sounds wonderful.. Immense long sustain, unlike any other S10 I have ever owned... This one just sings,, Copedent is original MSA, which has E changes on the right not the left..
I don't have pics as yet, but will get several up depending on if there is any interest... $1400 plus shipping.. I will accept a partial trade for smaller vintage tube amps.. Will discuss any brands at all, but I am not looking for anything modern.... email with interest, and if there is any, I will get some pics up.... email me directly please..

Guys, I will add that I owned this MSA for years and sold it to Bob sometime back. I tried many pickups over the years and when I installed the Emmons single coil it was a perfect match! I've received many compliments on the tone. It was definitely one of the best tones I've been able to achieve and this guitar has great sustain. Best sounding MSA I've heard. I was seriously considering buying it back from Bob as I do have sellers remorse. Now is just a bad time for me to purchase. Otherwise, it would be on its way back. Whoever ends up with this MSA will be happy. Of course Bob is also a great person to deal with!

Only reason I am selling it is the fact that I am just not playing out much any more, and might not be for a while, if at all... I don't need 3 pedal steels, and as this one is the heaviest one of the 3 i have, it is the one I will be the least likely to take to any future gigs.. It is by far the best steel I own, but it just sits in the case,,,,,
If anyone has a smaller tube amp to swap towards it, you can have a really nice pedal steel for pretty cheap....there is NO wear at all on the mechanism of this steel.. Not much playtime on her for certain

Undercarriage is spotless.. NO wear, and the mechanism seems to have very little playtime.. Body and finish is clean and shiny.. Metal, levers, pedals, are clean and bright[It has the "polish package"] There are a bunch of small bar dings, none of which go into the wood.. Couple of small chips that have been touched up.. From a few feet, looks like a new guitar. Case in very nice shape as well. A VERY nice guitar for the money... $1400 +shipping.... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Just somebody posting to an old thread is all it takes to bring it to the top again. In such cases a PM to the seller might be the better way to go. |

Or the seller posting that the item has been sold in the heading - even if it's been sold locally. Even then sometimes people want to know if it really sold, especially if it's a good deal. Can't blame 'em.
Edit: Of course, some knucklehead wanting to make a point brings it right back to the top again! Doh! |

People doing a search for a particular guitar, brand etc. will often turn up old classified ads without them noticing the post date. Happens all the time in other sections too. You see posts reviving an old thread.
It's up to the seller to post that the item has been sold or is otherwise no longer available so that people don't pursue a dead ad.
Can't blame the buyer if the ad still appears active. |
