Have a video that was recorded several years ago of 'The Whites' performing 'If It Ain't Love' with Tommy White on steel..Beautiful solo by Mike Johnson in the second video, very impressive vocals as well, (nothing quite compares with sibling harmony!)

Doug, I think Jerry is right. Doug, my band plays a big dance at Treasure Lake Resort Saturday night starting at 7:00PM. You can get in free. Just tell the guy at the gate you are with the band, checking on some new equipment.
I will be playing your guitar.

Thanks guys, I had heard of Steve Wilkerson but did not have any way to recognize him. Pretty fine pickin' on that video.
Any suggestions of other artists I might find him with?

Keith, I might just take you up on your offer. I would like to hear you give your new Encore a good workout.

I don't recall who else Steve played with, but he was pretty busy around Nashville in the 90's at least.

Last I heard a few years back, he was burning up somebody's shows in Branson.

Super picker, fer sure.

Steve used to have a recording studio in Hendersonville back in the mid to late nineties. Steve is also an excellent guitar player. He used to play guitar on the Opry for Charlie Louvin. He came to Branson I think around 2003 or so. He had a studio and worked a few shows. I'm not sure where he's at now. I remember seeing him with the Whites in Branson. I was surprised, I expected to see Tommy but it was Steve, he was tearing it up. His sons are really good musicians as well.

Yes that's Steve Wilkerson. I grew up with him and his family in south east Missouri. Great player. You might want to google Charlie Louvin Doug. Steve and his wife Debbie were with him for a while before Charlie retired.

I always enjoyed getting to see and hear Steve. He was pretty visible on the old TNN network. Super picker. I remember seeing him with Charlie Louvin.

Steve is now in Fisk, Missouri Eddie. I was in touch with him a couple weeks ago. He's still picking when he can and working some construction now. We had a little get together last October in Fisk and are working on getting another little jam put together as well. Hopefully we can get several steel players together and have a larger one this year than last year. Just putting a bug in your ear.
