A few years ago I tuned into one of those awards shows - might have been the ACM's - and one of the current fave groups was playing thru a wall of Marshalls like that.
Then the camera panned a bit past the amps and hidden behind the wall of M's there was a Deluxe turned around backwards with a mic on it.

That's show business for ya...

There was an area rock band in our area in the 7os and 80s that used a wall of these dummy cabinets for visual effect. Some of them were loaded with flashpots so in the middle of a power chord they could set them off and smoke would come billowing out. AHHSOME, MAAN!

Occasion was a screening of the George Harrison documentary "Living In The Material World". My sartorial choice of t-shirt was entirely coincidental that night.

(Those are real used cabinets. By my count that array goes to 264.)

Playing a festival in West Virginia next week, and my cousin's band is opening for us & providing the backline, PA, & lights.

ALL MARSHALL & AMPEG SVT for bass...YOWZA!!

Except me on steel...I'll have my lowly Peavey miked through 5K watts of super decibellage!
