Stupendous as ever from the modest, quiet man from Nashville. Smokin' hot pick blocking at its best.

Sadly, Jeff, I doubt that tablature would help me achieve that level of virtuosity.

Embarassed

But you're right - Buck's CD is amazing.

The best I could ever hope for after a lifetime of work, Roger, would be to "sort of" be able to play it at 1/4 speed Smile

I've seen Buck play this tune many, many times, and the best was undoubtedly at the Irish Steel Festival 2 or 3 years ago in Dublin. The.house band played it at what turned out to be exactly the same beats per minute that Buck played on his CD. Buck nailed it perfectly. I told him afterwards that when it started I was concerned it would be too fast for him. He said "Actually Ken, its easier to play when it is that tempo. I struggle to play it when the tempo is too slow".

Buck has it all in his locker. Blistering pick blocking, and sublime feel on ballads. I love the melodic phrasing of his jazz improvisation. His modesty and quiet approachability strikes everyone who meets him. For those who don't own Buck's phenomenal CD - do yourself a favour and get a copy from Buck's web site. It is up there with the best steel albums of all times.

Excellent job as always from one of the best.
The camera man must have worked on the televised portion of the opry.

W.C.
We did not have a cameraman.

It was a last minute shoot with a hand held XLR camera by our piano player wife.

Just glad we got what we did.
