I'm thinking about working on a song of the month, maybe it's something we can all do together, work on it, share licks and ideas... Iron sharpening iron, etc...

My schedule is crazy, so a song of the week is too much for me and my brain to take in, I figured working on something for a month would at least get me to work all the way through a song.

I figured I could tab out a melody and make a BIAB backing track and share that.

I would probably focus on jazz/swing standards, since that is what I like.

Would anyone else be interested?

I just joined the group Stefan offered...it might be a good idea to see what happens in that group before creating a duplicate group

Check the previous videos from Nate C6/A7 8 string and myself E13 12 string.

We have done different practice versions of

Rhythm Changes
Cherokee
Body and Soul
Autumn Leaves
Fly me to the Moon
Girl From Ipanema

so far. Any new ideas please share even if you would like to re-visit one of the songs above as all the versions uploaded are not perfected or finalised. Just different approaches.

Ah, come on guys.......I told you I stink! I thought we'd be shooting for Three Blind Mice, Mary had a little lamb, Happy Birthday, etc. I'm not ready for real songs! I guess I will just listen to you guys play and dream.
Oh Well

Bill, I think the idea of a more fundamental song of the month is a good one. Once a month is a good pace. The other site may be more advanced for what some players are looking for.......

I actually I was kidding on the songs.......I do stink, but can play some a little more difficult ones than the 3 I posted. Not too much harder though. Laughing
