thank you my friend... it is not solid black but rather, see thru black lacquer, and you can actually see the wood grain under that black lacquer, depending on the light.... hard to take a good photo to show that.... gorgeous guitar...

The finish is close to what Gibson guitars would call "silver burst" but a little darker. It's a great looking steel!!!!
