"Mr Melody". Funny - just yesterday I revisited my "best pedal steel as a listener experiences" I've had. At the top was at the St Louis Convention in the early 90's. I don't remember which. Loyd had set up in a hall way. About five or six folks had gathered around him. He played one classic pop tune after another unacompanied. He was simply amazing, effortlessly mimicing the vocalalist's nuances in any given tune. |
