Any pro or con ideas on using a 15" and a 12" speaker in parallel (both 8 ohms in my case) running at 4 ohms from a single tube amp? I like the sound from the 12's but not sure it can deal with those big bottom notes...the 15" alone seems a bit harsh on the highs.. thanks...

Gerry, my Milkman normally plays through a Telonics 12 in an open back cab and a closed-back 15.

I leave it to the engineer. Frequently the consensus between the two of us is that the lower cab gets blocked by me and the highs cut well off the 12, so the 15 gets miced.

I guess I'll have to give it a try...My Sica 15 seem harsher than my Weber 12 and I certainly don't want my steel sounding thin and cutting in the highs...both my cabs are open back and 8 ohms...my Eminence 15 is in a ported Telonics cab but it is only 4 Ohms so I can't use it in this setup. My Doc.Z Surgical Steel amp has plenty of power so it should push those speakers to any needed level. From your video, you have plenty of full bottom so that is a good inspiration to try it out...Thanks again...
