Good Morning,

Here's an instrumental from the early 1970s - Warning: Banjo included! Smile

Enjoy the music!

Kind Regards, Walter

Doug Jernigan plays it, and he once played on a JD Crowe record, so I'm guessing it is them.

"Leather Britches", by Doug Jernigan. I have it from Scotty's "Anthology Of The Pedal Steel Guitar".

Someone kindly gave me a copy of a tape he recorded during his perfomance at the Steel Guitar Festival in Newbury in the late nineties. I tried to put names to the tunes he played, and in the case of this song I heard "Leather Bridges". Btw who wrote it?

I always found this tune labeled as "Traditional", like many of the old fiddle tunes. Looks like it goes back a long way.

Kind Regards, Walter
