I'm building an enclosure for a NV 400 chassis I picked up recently and am looking for straps that will fit the hole spacing. (Peavey doesn't make/supply them anymore.) I know they're not necessary, but I thought it would be a nice touch. _________________ Sho~Bud Super Pro, Fender Concert, NV400, Orange, (LP's, Tele's, Gretsch, Burns, etc...) |

Peavey straps are different spread than all the others. I made a pair from 1/16" X 1 alum stock. |

I think the last pair I found, I had to buy them used.
You can readily find them for Fender amps but not Peavey. |

Thanks all. Good to know I haven't lost my Google search skills. David, if you come across them, great. Otherwise I'll go with plan B... as soon as I figure out what that is. _________________ Sho~Bud Super Pro, Fender Concert, NV400, Orange, (LP's, Tele's, Gretsch, Burns, etc...) |

A had this exact problem a few months ago when I was rebuilding an old NV400. Couldn't find any, so I designed my own using a CAD software that resembled the stock ones but made out of 1/8" steel (5 times as strong). I had a friend thats a machinist whip a few up. If this might be a plan B for you, id be happy to send you my drawing and you could find someone local to machine them. _________________ Sho Bud Steel Guitars

Joe,
I got side tracked last night but found them this evening. I may have the screws also if I look a couple of other places but they're not hard to replace. They have a little surface rust as you can see. Drop me an email when you get time.

Get the straps from David. Sand them down with 400 sandpaper and spray paint them black, let dry.
They will look very neat. |

That's pretty much what I had in mind. We're just working through the fine points now...
Confirm hole spacing, price, etc. _________________ Sho~Bud Super Pro, Fender Concert, NV400, Orange, (LP's, Tele's, Gretsch, Burns, etc...) |
