Those YouTube clips of Randy Travis and Josh Turner are wonderful!

I think it's Jeff Surratt on steel on those, though. I know it's not what you were asking but check them out.

Craig,I don't know...I have recorded anything with JT in a couple of years...

He changed producers and often when that happens, they"clean house"...

I know they recorded some stuff with a different band...

I wasn't on the last single I heard...

We had a pretty good run.

Thanks for the update Steve.

There was an article on the website SavingCountryMusic.com recently, and was just wondering if you were included since you played on most of his previous releases.

Hope you are staying busy!

Steve just got the Josh Turner cd 'Deep South' for my wife's birthday yesterday, and yes you are credited for most of the songs, the only other is Russ Pahl for a few songs.

You may already know this, but figured I'd post it anyway.

Hope all is well with you.

Thanks for the heads-up,Craig!

Russ is on the single(number one this week!)and sounds great!

I'm tickled to death for Russ and Josh and all the other cats on the record!

Maybe this is the start of another good run!

Take care

Steve

While we're on the subject (sort of)....

Those YouTube vids of Josh and Randy covering each other's hits - is it available as a DVD, do you know?

Rog,I don't think it is...we taped that as a one-hour CMT show...

I can't recall the name of the series...sorry.

Seems like a hundred years ago...

Steve, you did a great job as usual on Josh's "Deep South" CD.

Russ continues to do very creative things that are forcing me to learn new ideas. There are some parts Russ did that no one would ever believe it's Pedal Steel.

David,

Just checked Josh's site and so far looks like no shows scheduled for New Jersey yet, please post and update if that changes.

David,

I played the indoor stage at Ocean City's Springfest earlier today (with Elvis!!), and was admiring the Carter/Dobro/Weissenborn/Pod set-up back behind the curtain. I'm assuming it was yours?

Sorry I couldn't stay and check out your show, but I had to head back to Philly right after. Have fun! Hopefully the weather's better for your crowd than it was for ours. A bunch of drowned rats!

Small, small world. Yep, my current road rig. Carter, Gretsch Reso (Dobro), and an Asher lap steel that I can wear Dobro-style. I'm enjoying my POD HD too.

It ended up drying out and played to a full room, but boy was it a wet day!

Hope to say hi next time,

David Spires

This was what our audience, in the whole front section, had to deal with! They could only seat about 1/2 as many as usual, because they all had to put their feet up!! Laughing
