Jo Stafford in 1951. Her son Tim Weston and I are guessing it must be Speedy West on steel. Opinions?

I would bet that it was my old Pal, Speedy West! Sure sounds like him to me.

Pete, thanks for sharing this. As a young lad I fell in love with the voice of this lady. She was so incredible. Billy and I both also loved Speedy, who was really hot in the studios during this time period, with the biggest names in the business.

Yeah, Speedy for sure.

He also recorded "If You've Got The Money, I've Got The Time" and "Teardrops From My Eyes" with Stafford.

Speedy recorded with a lot of pop artists: Sarah Vaughan, Doris Day, Sinatra, Frankie Laine, Ella Mae Morse, Spike Jones, Bing Crosby, Billy May, and The Alley Cats (actually a rock and roll tune from 1957).
