| I'm more worried about size, the weight question was more for shipping estimates. Do you play a 12 string? There are plenty of affordable 10 string models being posted on here very often if you aren't married to the extended tuning(I am). |

| Also, only having 1 steel at the moment it will be nice to have one set up at the house so I don't have to pack-unpack-pack-unpack every time I want to play somewhere else. I'm only 30 so the weight isn't really an issue so much as a convenience. |

| I have zero steels, and have been hawkeying this page for quite some time waiting for something I legitimately wanted to pop up. I was given the advice by forum members to get a 12 string if even thought I could potentially want to play rock... And here we are. Either way, no hard feelings. It won't hurt me to wait a little longer. I figured if I started with 12,I'd have a leg up in the game. That said, I'm not super worried about shipping costs Γ°ΕΈΛΒ |

Hi Jake,
If you don't get this another will pop up some time here on the forum.
Sierra's are a little heavy but an amazing design by the master craftsman, Chuck Wright who was way ahead of his time when he designed these.
Every detail well thought out and produced.
These guitars, though made 30 to 40 years ago are still very much up to date.
For some reason they don't always sell for a lot so it's well worth the wait.
You'll get a lot of guitar for your money.

| I hope I have answered everybody's questions, I believe it is standard Emmons, A,B,C, E's on the left knee(s). Floor pedal 4 lowers string 3, 6, and 9. Floor pedal 5 lowers string 5, and 10. The A and B pedals work the lower strings as well. An additional pull is available on the low E but currently not working, I have heard that this should lower to c#, the mechanics move but not enough to change the pitch. 42 lbs w/out case. The body 34 2/4 inches x 8. Bar dings on the metal fingerboard (under the strings?) pedal bar is scratched near where a volume pedal would be attached. Case has several cracks along the edges but still closes and gets the guitar to the gig. |

Keith, I would love to buy this guitar. Yes, the low E to C# on the e to f lever gives you the root when you use the A and F to get a C# Major  I would like to buy the guitar, will pm with payment details. |

Yeah, I get it. Just a little anxious to get started, y'know? I've been keeping my eyes on the forum for half a year waiting for something I really wanted to pull the trigger on. That flame maple steel you have is gorgeous, BTW. Thanks for the info.

I have a (nearly) identical Sierra. Mine has 5 KLs and 6 pedals. It's on a double frame and is about 10 lbs. heavier. I should have waited! That was about six years ago and I couldn't wait. It's a fine guitar, no mechanical issues and the tone is wonderful. Played it the other night at the Broken Spoke. Check my FB page for a clip.
