I was having problems getting my 2nd string to lower, worked on it to no avail. Now weeks later I get it out of the case after some gigs and it's OK, lowering to Db.

A shot in the dark, but it could just be that the act of inverting the guitar to pack it up, bumping it around a bit and then setting it up again, may have freed something up.
I have sometimes found that a fault on the floor disappears on the bench and vice versa, particularly if a component with a little slack in it catches on different things depending on which way up it is. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I agree with Ian something has changed or moved. Check the changer real close you may have a brass string ball and string end loose in the changer and it moved with your turning the guitar over to put it in the case, And then setting it back up.
Good Luck in finding the cause and cure for this problem. Happy Steelin. |

Ever have something that didn't work right, you take it apart, can't find anything, then put it back together & now it works? _________________ A couple D-10s,some vintage guitars & amps, & lotsa junk in the gig bag. |

Ever since I was a kid - 65 and still it's true.
Although thinking about it, reassembly is only the mechanical equivalent of rebooting a computer, and that works more often than not. Long live the mechanical reboot! _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
