My website has been completely redesigned and now (IMHO) looks and functions a lot better. You can listen to clips from every tune from all 5 of my solo albums (and download tracks or whole albums directly, if you wish). It even has an updated gig schedule (which was harder to maintain on my old website). Videos to watch, reviews, and more. Come on by for a visit, y'all! Smile ~Jimbeaux

Thanks, Dale. When I click the link above, it works fine. Odd that it doesn't for you. Anybody else having that issue? Is this one any better?

Jim Looks good

You should look into getting SEO Search Engine Optimization.

All of your meta tags are generic and not helping you draw in steel guitar or jazz listener traffic.

Your title is completely useless for traffic, no one would search jimcohen adding Jazz Pedal Steel Guitar as separate words is a good start.
Separate your name into separate names, Jim Cohen this way if someone searches your name it will pop up at the top of any Engine.

Try Jim Cohen Pedal Steel Guitar Jazz in the Title at the very top. This will bring you in above all of the other Jim Cohens like Linkedin and others.

Remember it takes time for search engine "Robots - Crawlers" to get to your site.

Old Tricks are now banned by google , such as keywords in the same color as the background so the are not visible.

There are also modern tricks like Alt tags and Title Tags you can place KeyWords on the photos that will also draw traffic from desired viewers.

Editors are a good short cut ,
but unless you include SEO information you are losing out on all sorts of cool abilities to get Google and other Search Ratings.

Avoid these on line companies that spam you to use their services, it doesn't work well for a specific site like you want.

All of the Java Script on your underbelly can help make the build go fast and look cool,
can and usually does prevent you from desired Search Functionality.

Hope you take this as constructive information. Very Happy

My Wife does this professionally, for example maintains JerryByrd-Fan Club , Henry Allen (Maui) and built Steel Guitar Resolve.

Hi George, many thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to do any of that, nor whether it can be added to a Wix website (which this is, albeit with my own domain). Nevertheless, I just googled, "jazz steel guitar", "Jazz pedal steel guitar", "jim cohen steel guitar" and "jim cohen" and I show up either at the top or near the top of all those listings. What would be different if I were able to implement your suggestions?

Thanks again,
Jim

I just edited my post to help a little.

Some one - hopefully you created this html for your site.

A the top of the HTML there is a "Title" where you have jimcohen this is what shows up in the panel of your site and is the 1st thing a search looks at.

Try replacing it with Jim Cohen Jazz Pedal Steel Guitar -- this is just a beginning.

After replacing the title re upload the HTML file to make it active , and refresh your browser to see the results.

We looked it up, and for money they have all sorts of services to help you increase flow, if you even need it.

Meanwhile it is a great looking site and congratulations on your continued success.

Best Regards

Hey George, it turns out that the SEO stuff was readily do-able on Wix and did not require an extra payment (beyond my current payment), so thanks for prompting me to do that! It has now all be done and submitted to Google Search Console. Hope that helps in some way. Many thanks for your (and your wife's) help.

Jim
