Looks like a shortened Fessy with a Lamar keyless app.
Sweet nevertheless. _________________ Dekley (PRS-10C), BMI S12 |

I have no idea what this is, I have never seen or even heard of Dowd before... but I can tell you one thing, this guitar plays great, all Fessy mechanics, sounds absolutely amazing, and looks gorgeous.... this is the real deal ... I had one of those "wow" moments after I set behind it for the first time... _________________ https://steelguitarsonline.com/ |

I did a little research and it seems that Danny Dowd lived up north in Buffalo, NY. and later on moved down south to Kentucky... also it appears that he passed away in 2009... looks like he built a few guitars, and from what I could find, his guitars were of highest quality , which I can attest myself after playing this guitar ... any info about Danny Dowd and his guitars would be greatly appreciated... _________________ https://steelguitarsonline.com/ |

Dan Dowd.
I visited (and stayed overnight) at his house on one trip from Florida to Kansas City. Got to see a couple of his builds. Sadly Dan passed away not too long after that.
He was active on the forum. _________________ GFI Ultra Keyless S-10 with pad (Black of course) TB202 amp, Hilton VP, Steelers Choice sidekick seat

Damir, the only thing I can say about you IS: If there is a beautiful Steel guitar somewhere, you will find it. thank you my friend, from what I could find about Dan Dowd , he was working with his son, and they specialized in hand rubbed lacquer finishes ... not sure how many guitars they built, but this is the first one I've ever seen... this gorgeous guitar has been traded... _________________ https://steelguitarsonline.com/ |
