I have a few of John's tabs and they are very well done. They are certainly a challenge for me being new to the steel guitar after not playing for 50 years but he makes it user friendly. I don't have a great deal of experience on PSG but I'm learning and John's tabs are a great help and a wonderful learning tool.

Hi John,
Can't thank you enough for sending that tab and the effort I see you have put into it.
Really you should sell those because they are so much better than some others I've bought.

I can see that I'm not alone in seeing the quality.
Best wishes for the future,
Andy

I recently received both his "Amazing Grace" and "Old Rugged Cross" tab, and while I have not had time to actually play them yet, I "played" them in my mind (just looking at the tab). Highly impressed, this tab will leave you with a lot of licks to use in other songs, at least in my mind.

Great work John, I look forward to your future offerings.

I have been working on a couple of tabs I got from John, and sure like them. They are moving me to explore more positions and pedal/knee combos I am not used to using yet.
Thank you very much John.

A major shout out to John Russell for tabbing David Hartley's "Sing Me Back Home". TONS AND TONS of time was put into this lengthy, accurate tab and it will test whether or not I have "attention-deficit" disorder.

David performs this on YouTube with touch, tone and feeling as he does this with all his videos. He goes by the user name DAVEPEDALSTEEL

I would recommend steelers who are not aware of these guys to dial them in.

Thanks to you both. Stevet
