Really good to see Howard and the Beard booth back at the show. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

Thanks for posting all these. Enjoyed going through them. Looks like a really great time.
Does anyone know where I can purchase any of Billy Robinson's cds? I've gone to his website but the page that's supposed to have his contact information doesn't seem to have anything listed unless I'm missing something. Haven't had luck finding them for sell anywhere else on the internet. I'm surprised that they aren't listed on discogs as far as I can tell. I really enjoy his playing in all the videos I've seen and am eager to hear more and be able to listen to his stuff without relying on a computer.
On another note the Doug Jernigan video is superb. Blown away. Are there any recordings that feature him on lap as opposed to pedal?
Lastly I wanted to introduce myself as this is my first post in this section. I've recently started playing lap steel and am completely obsessed. Wish I had picked it up before turning 31 but I'm trying to make up for lost time. Been playing music all my life and make my living from it. Been playing guitar for over 20 years so there's a bit of overlap but also a learning curve that I'm trying to hurdle. Anyway I'm really loving the forum. It's an invaluable resource and there's a great sense of community. Been lurking for a bit and happy to now be a member. I'll do my best to try to use the search function and avoid asking to many frustrating newbie questions. I know that years back people had discussed where to pickup Billy's cds but it's been a long time and I'm not sure that the places mention still stock them.
Thanks,
Luke |
