Mike was in the UK this weekend on a mini tour with Reba MacEntire, and I got the chance to have a chat with him about his stage rig that he was using with her. He was using a rosewood Emmons LeGrande through a Kemper profiling pre-amp into the PA and monitor. He also played a Dobro and slide steel standing up as well.
The Kemper is an interesting piece of kit - Mike said that he has profiled his Emmons through his Franklin volume pedal into his Peavey LTD combo with Eminence speaker. I have added some pics below of the Kemper, and it must be a great piece of kit knowing Mike's penchant for getting a great live tone.

I'm not 100% sure Erv, but it may be Mike's stage rig for when he is with Reba. He said that his sound of his red Emmons through his Peavey LTD / Eminence EPS15 had been profiled and that the outcome was saved as a preset on the Kemper. He reckoned it was identical to his amp sound but without having to transport his combo around.
From the reviews, it would appear that the Kemper is a huge step up from the old modelling preamps like Line 6 etc. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. According to Mike's website, Kemper is one of his sponsors. I've heard the Kemper is a real good amp profiler.
