I'm trying to accumulate all the worthy sources for steel instruction. Here is what I've gleaned from the Forum and the Internet:

• Jeff Newman’s Instructional Courses: http://www.jeffran.com/
• Patrick Brenner http://steelguitaramerica.com/instruction/tuning/tuninghistory.shtml.
• The Steel Guitar Forum: http://www.steelguitarshopper.com/categories/Instruction
• Description of a Pedal Steel Guitar & Other Topics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedal_steel_guitar
• Description of Copedents: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copedent
• Herb Steiner’s Steel Guitar Instruction: http://www.herbsteinermusic.com/entrance.html
• Doug Beaumier’s Steel Guitar Instruction: doug@valinet.com - http://playsteelguitar.com/
• Brad’s Page: http://www.well.com/~wellvis/books.html
• Mike Ihde: mihde@berklee.edu
• Jonathon Gregg: http://www.howcast.com/guides/1096-how-to-play-the-pedal-steel-guitar/
• Mel Bay Publications: http://www.melbay.com
• Joe Wright’s Instruction: http://www.pedalsteel.com/
• Dave Anderson’s Instruction: https://www.onlinelessonvideos.com/E9-Pedal-Steel-For-The-Complete-Beginner.html

If you know of additional sources, please alert me here or email me at tommybradshaw@gmail.com. Thanks, ...Tom

William Litaker - has a variety of materials on his web site including a beginners course, songs, workshops and exercises. As most know he does a weekly lesson on you tube every Saturday, acceccable at any time. He emails tab on the day before. Personally, I've learned a ton from this man. Cost is $5.00 per week.
